I worked at Adecco

Pros

Adecco is a large brand and is well known, it is a reputable company that has made large aquisitions recently thus meaning scope and breadth for opportunity.

Cons

The size and scale of the business can sometimes make it feel a little too much as though you are a cog in a machine and not an integral part of the team and the vision of the business.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Listen. The people on the coal face doing the job are the ones facibng the objections. Whilst not all of the direction needs to be influenced this way utilise the intelligence of the talent you employ to steer your business and create buy in

I have been working at Adecco

    Pros

Generally can find some kind of work if you need a job, temporary or contract, within 1 week to 4 weeks of applying for work with Adecco.

    Cons

Each branch seems to be run differently, and depending on who is working at what branch, you might get good job prospects or you might not. Due to the fact that their business is client-driven and Adecco only makes money based on how many people they place on jobs, they have to cater to their client base. If they have some clients who are super picky about they kind of people they let through the door, Adecco will oblige of course, by showcasing specific positions to different ethnic groups. Naturally this may not hold true for the entire market, just in certain pockets around the country. The health insurance plan offered through Adecco with UHC, is not as competitive as it could be for the price that associates pay out of their paycheck.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Institute standards of operation that each office has to abide by. When an associate has not received their paycheck, and it is not through any fault of their own, guarantee a replacement paycheck by the next business day. A corporation of this size can print one off from petty cash funds to cover such incidentals. Staff the branches with actual HR professionals, and not people who only have the inclination to help only favorites gain lucrative contractor positions.
