Administaff – “Great pay and benefits but, NO LIFE and a boiler room culture.

Jul 14, 2009

2.0

Administaff Sales Consultant:   (Current Employee)

Pros

The base pay is better than most and the benefits are very comprehensive. You have the opportunity to proudly say that you work for a big billion dollar company. The offices are in a nice location and they pay for your parking.

Cons

Opportunities for professional growth and advancement limited. Management and leadership is very poor, and you will be expected to work all the time, including weekends and especially evenings trying to build your business, their business. Time off is something that sales staff does not get and work life balance, what's that? Respect from management to employee is not reciprocal, managers are higher ranked than you and will remind you of that regularly. Expect micromanagement at the ultimate level and to work very, very hard without praise and reward. Be careful if you have a family, spouse or a life, I don't remember my life before this job.

Advice to Senior Management

Lead by example. Help your sales reps and steer away from politics. Also, stand up for your team once in a while.
