I worked at Advance America full-time (more than a year)

Pros

Working with the public, hours, vacation and benefits were great. The customers were mainly enjoyable, and management was pretty decent, better than some of the other positions I've held prior to this job.

Cons

I don't feel as if the bonuses were distributed fairly.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Store managers be willing to listen to employees, and assist them.

    You can do much worse as far as jobs go but it's not worth it.

    I worked at Advance America full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

    Decent pay. At the center level your pretty much left to work by yourself with little interference. If you do your work and show effort you aren't constantly bombarded by management types harassing you.

    Cons

    The industry itself isn't very reputable... I was ashamed about telling people what I did for a living. Advancement is near impossible unless your willing to relocate.

    I have been working at Advance America full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

    I enjoy our customers most are very friendly

    Cons

    Security, upper management insults if you don't sell enough because that puts their job on the line, schedules not enough time for a family life, Only managers get bounses , Short staff I work in a 5 person center we only have 3 employees, Software in the centers are from the 80s so that makes your job harder there is plenty more but not worth it.

    visit your centers to see what is happening Im sure the corporate office has no clue to what is going on in your centers
