Advance America is a company with strong leadership and a vision for sucess. There is ample opportunity to learn, grow, and advance within the company.
Cons
The only downside is the increased pressure by the states that makes operating within them a difficult or impossible taks. This can affect morale.
Advice to Senior Management
The leadership at Advance America is strong, decisive, and is working to ensure the success of the company and all those who work there.

Wait- I agree with this rating and I guess you might also call mine a "Company Review" as I do work for Advance America and I love this company. My staff (in California) says the same thing- we DO love working for this company. Your job is oftentimes what YOU make it and we have created a really enjoyable, challenging work environment where we take our employees personal lives into consideration at all times and accommodate whenever possible. We pay better than the competitors because we hire great employees. Is everything always perfect? No. It's a JOB and sometimes we are tired, have to work when we'd rather be sailing and some people really hate collection calls. Again, this is controllable because we do follow the law and we do our best to help our customers and are reasonable when they are struggling. Advance America is the leader in their industry- we try hard to be the best and it shows.

If you work in IT at this company it absolutely SUCKS OUT LOUD. IT management is terrible when it comes to the employees. If you don't work OT EVERY DAY your review will be terrible. I have seen people work 10-12 hours every day including weekends for months because it is expected. Everyone is on call 24X7. Some departments in IT are sorely understaffed and the department managers are punished and ridiculed for not meeting deadlines. They also have alot of people who can't communicate in english. Turnover is really high. Some people last a few weeks and others a few years.I have been there for about 2 years and have seen large groups of people and whole departments, including the director, be replaced, fired, forced to quit. Burnout from stress is high. Pay is O.K. but not great especially considering the number of hours you are working to keep the boss off your back. I know several people in IT are looking for jobs due to all the stress, the long hours, the ungrateful management, the unrealistic expectations and the feeling that IT management thinks we are overpaid, stupid and lazy.
