I have been working at Advance Auto Parts full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

most everything is in stock or close

    Cons

everything is reviewed, measured, graded, etc. by outsorced inaccurate computer projected sales/performance models none of which seem to show useful data except to make everyone feel like they are failing at every aspect of their job(s). Computer systems constanly fail, systems are rediculously out of date.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

adhere to our motto "service is our best part" becasue right now its not

I worked at Advance Auto Parts full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

Not an overtly complicated system, lots of room to shift stores, and a decently quick ability to climb the ladder position wise.

    Cons

Pay climbing based on performance seems incredibly rare, and lots of fluff like ignite and other team member data. It only serves to show who's lazy/less salesmanly, and doing well warrants no reward beyond bragging rights.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Look to secure knowledgeable workers, perhaps more in depth testing (I.E. not just jump through hoop tests) to put entry or lower level workers on a track to a position related to actual automotive knowledge, and a pay grade that would reflect and encourage such.
