Pros

Its easy to get a job at ACT and once you get a handle of the "not so user-friendly" system, it is really easy.

Cons

The training program needs to have more hands on, before they put you on the floor.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Implement a simulation training software to better train the CSR

    I have been working at Advanced Call Center Technologies

    Pros

    The location just off of the interstate makes working here an easy commute. The dress is casual, not requiring employees to spend much on attire.

    Cons

    There is not any focus on ethical standards of behavior or conduct. There is a clear disconnect between human resources and the employees and operations management and the employees. Simple policies such as dress codes and acceptable language are not enforced. Many supervisors have had no formal training, and as a result they lack the necessary skills to properly motivate and encourage their direct reports. Compared to others performing similar work, the pay scale is far below where it should be. Attrition is very high.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Develop key values that the employees can focus on. Make certain that all human resources policies are enforced. Work to create a workplace that respects diversity and that is a place where employees want to work for more than just to earn a small paycheck.

    Pros

    Friendly people? Great place to start and to build skills. Easy to expand job duties

    Cons

    No room for growth, low pay? Not always an ethical or professional company.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Provide greater opportunities for growth and increase salaries. Create processes and stick to them.
