Advanstar – “No pride in products”

Pros

Salary was okay. There were opportunities to work with interesting people outside of the company. There was quite a lot of interesting travel.

Cons

Poor quality of products. Management often had no understanding of products, hired people who also knew nothing, everyone just bluffed their way through.

Advice to Senior Management

Pay more attention to quality and don't let the budget rule everything. Hire people who really know the subject areas and can add intellectual value to the products.
