    I have been working at Advantage Sales and Marketing part-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

    4-5 years ago it was a great company to work for. Truly flexible hours, part-time benefits, paid vacation and holiday and great mileage.

    Cons

    Company is steadly going down hill. All benefits for part-timers are gone. No more paid vacations or holidays. Territories are too wide to cover all work that is required, mileage reimbursement sucks,no reimbursement for wear and tear of your car. Long term part time employees are expected to train supervisors to do their jobs. Raises- Ha haven't seen one in 7 years but have seen a reduction in pay per hour with the promise that this is only temporary and previous pay would return. Not Yet it's been 3 years. Last communication from upper mgmt company is doing great with high ROI and profits.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Stop disrespecting your employees. You have employees that want to work and do a great job but you are tying their hands with all of this fictional garbage. Do all required work but you only have limited hours/time to do it. Have an open door policy and stop having BLOCKERS preventing info from going up the chain to upper mgmt. Make sure your upper mgmt team is competent.

    Start great, got worse

    Pros

    Flexibility, allowed to set your own schedule. Can take time off when needed. A few good supervisors.

    Cons

    Micro managed. No room for advancement. Raises are not received every year. Car allowance is not enough . Seems like RSM'S are paying just to keep a job.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Weed out bad Reps and bad Supervisors. Hire supervisor within the company. Recognize great work with great pay. All employees should be accountable for their job. If your RSM's are important don't tell them, show them.
