I have been working at Advantage Sales and Marketing full-time for less than a year

Pros

Great "team" atmoshphere. Solid leadership. Many opportunities. Innovative thinking and ideas are encouraged. Upper management is involved with all parts of the company. Great ACE program for recent college graduates. New business and clients gained every month which brings growth. The top grocery broker in the United States.

Cons

With so many clients on our portfolio sometimes it's hard to please every single client with the attention that they demand. Some markets in different parts of the country have more opporunities than others which makes it tough for some of the ACE candidates to get the necesarry experience depending on the market they are placed in initially.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Offer more opportunities for LDA's to develop with the specified role they want to go into after the program.

    I have been working at Advantage Sales and Marketing full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    1. there are great opportunities to start a career.
    2. Great leadership: the CEO and COO are making sure that the company grows and keep up with technology
    3.People are always willing to help here. They undetrstand everyone doesn't know about the business so they are williing to help you understand.
    4. A program for recent college grads to learn the business called the ACE program. It keeps the company fresh and helps students find a good job.
    5. No limits to what you can do. If you have an idea or want to try something that will benefit the company they will let you (only if it makes sense of course)

    Cons

    1.Pay for mileage isn't great. If you are in retail your territory could be driving from 30 miles to 130 round trip. With the price of gas it can become a problem.

    2.being a national company you can feel lost. There are so many people that is apart of this company that you can feel like you arent standing out or it is hard to stand out among the rest

    I love where the company is going and how fast it is growing, just don't forget about the little people.

    With a company as large as Advantage the communication and employee engagement opportunities could somewhat be improved.
