    I have been working at Advantage Sales and Marketing full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

    -Work with a lot of great people
    -Able to learn industry from the ground up
    -Great opportunity for advancement inside company

    Cons

    -Communication can be lacking at times
    -Retail associates put a lot of miles on their cars (but there is a mileage allowance)

    Be more transparent in communications and reward the employees at the bottom more.

    I have been working at Advantage Sales and Marketing full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

    -Great program and opportunites for new college graduates
    -Allows you to really start learning the CPG industry
    -Salary is decent for someone coming right out of college

    Cons

    -Salary increase moving into roles outside of the program is not very substantial
    -Heavy focus on retail, which hinders opportunities for exposures to other parts of the business

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    We were all told this program was established for the future of the company to groom leaders due to the aging workforce, however there are many people that have yet to find positions outside of the program. This problem will only continue to get worse. The class that started in January will begin looking for jobs soon and another class is starting in June.
