Like all merchandising companies it sometimes appears that merchandisers aren't important to the success of the company

    I have been working at Advantage Sales and Marketing full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

    Own boss, make your own schedule, write-offs galore, reimbursements, hiring young college students and promoting from within. I love my job and so do the people I work with daily

    Cons

    Retail vs corporate sides don't always see eye to eye and I wish I was able to work with my coworkers more often but since ASM is a nationwide business, conf calls and email take up majority of communication.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Employee engagement and "Winning Together" should remain a focus.

    Pros

    If you want to test your capabilities as a High Volume Recruiter, ASM is a good proving ground. High pressure to fill reqs in very short and most times unreasonable time frames, if you can deliver here you likely can deliver in any HV environment.

    Cons

    TA Leadership makes representation of transparency, reality is just the opposite. Moved from model of remote recruiters to office based team with no regard for quality of team members. Only company this size where TA to CFO not Chief HR officer.

    Compensate talent acquisition to fair market levels
