Pros

Some smart and creative people work there. Certain teams are able to work together despite outside forces. Most groups can balance work and life priorities.

Cons

A poor manager can make it a very disappointing experience. They struggle with how to balance the different lines of business.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Do not be afraid of having difficult and honest conversations. It will make the group stronger in the long run.

    I worked at Aegis Media

    Pros

Good place for senior mngt/leaders as good pay, perks, and if you want to fly around.

    CEO strong.

    Cons

Poor leadership - most of the "leaders" are men who have worked in the company for 20 years or more (generally from BBJ) and who generally self confess they've "never had an interview in their lives" - and it shows!

Global leadership lacking in knowledge in how to structure teams, service clients, motivate teams, effectively manage across matrix organisation etc. The standard stuff.

New business approach tactical rather than strategic.

Alot of mid/senior level staff doing nothing and not supporting teams who are over-worked. Complete disconnect between senior leaders and their teams/clients.

    Very male, patriarchal culture.

    Approves of CEO
