I have been working at Aerojet Rocketdyne

    Pros

Interesting products to work on. Friendly employees. Good division V.P.

    Cons

Very chaotic. A lot of work is spent too much on irrelevant things and not enough of improving the product. Arrogance needs to be knocked down a bit across the board.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Need to become more focused on what is most important to succeed as a company, especially with all of the new commercial competitors out there.

I have been working at Aerojet Rocketdyne

    Pros

Interesting work, cutting edge propulsion research.

    Good co-workers.

Diverse workforce, good blend of highly talented Engineers, support staff, and manufacturing and operations professionals.

Great work/life balance - 9/80 schedule (every other Friday off, three weeks vacation, full company paid shut down at year end, gym and shower on site, close access to bike and running trails and kayaking/swimming).

    Cons

Old company, somewhat established in its ways.

    Salaries are good, not great.

    Healthcare plan is just adequate.

Some advancement opportunity for hard workers.
