I worked at Aerosoles part-time for less than a year

Pros

The discount is 50% off retail price for the shoes, there is a high chance that you could be able to be promoted depending on your sales, experience and length of being employed.

Cons

The pay is minimum wage, selling shoes feels like a competition against your coworkers, depending on your sales dictates how many hours you get the following week, management, only receive one break for 30 minutes after working for 5 hours, 10 minute break if you work for 4 hours.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Please train new hires and teach them the strategy to sell shoes to your expectations. Also, pay the associates more.

I have been working at Aerosoles full-time for more than a year

    Pros

You get 50% off shoes. If you are in Ca, you get a free pair of shoes since its considered to be your uniform. Although the shoes they give you are ugly, they are comfortable and get the job done.

    Cons

There is nothing but cons. This is a company who truly does not care for its employees. Don't let the cute shoes, and brightly colored shopping bags fool you. From the owner/CEO down to District Managers it is all about making money. People are easily discarded if they feel like doing so. No real reason needed. They find one, and if you are in the unfortunate position of being in management make sure you help do so. I have never in all my 18 years in retail have had to have as many coaching conversations land given as many write ups as I have had to do here. Over little things that could be resolved with a casual discussion. Yet you are never given that chance. Pay is on the lowest end of the scale, yet expectations are very high, in regard to sales and customer service. This year all loyal hard working employees were thanked by NOT getting a performance review, which means no raises to the very low starting salaries to begin with. Many times your goals are very high, considering the season and economic environment yet you still are expected to attain them. If not you are in for lots of conversations and threats of write ups which of course lead to terminations. District Managers are young and inexperienced, it has turned into the blind leading the blind. They have no clue how to help you succeed other then suggesting you leave the store to try to find your own customers. This BRILLIANT plan does not work if you do it weekly, it becomes annoying to consumers in your center at best. It also does not work due to the fact that you run on bare bones payroll. Many times it's just one person on the sales floor. This just scratches the surface!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Mr. Schneider get with it. All your top talent is being lost to your competitors because the company does not care about its employee's. You have horrible upper management who do not help their employees and let them take the blame foe their own poor performance. If things do not change many more of your store will sadly close.

    I worked at Aerosoles

    Pros

Job is easy to get because it's retail.

    Cons

Too much work for minimum wage. Not worth it.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

If management doesn't care about its employees, employees won't care about the job. Take heed.
