I have been working at Aetna
Pros – work at home; annual bonus, paid time off that can be used for vacation and sick time; flex work schedule; promotes volunteerism
Cons – few opportunities for certified project managers; white tower mentality; sacred cow mentality; disconnect between IT and business; tight on budget; anticipate job eliminations at end of year
Advice to Senior Management – take the risk - there is a lot of untapped talent in the current organization; review salary scale; reduce white tower mentality; promote cooperation between IT and business
