I have been working at Aetna full-time (more than 3 years)

Pros

Flexible for those people doing other things to advance their career.

Cons

Some of the employees in the Princeton location are miserable and unhappy bunch. Employee morale is horrible. The pay is not good at all and the medical benefit is HORRIBLE.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Offer competitive pay and give your employees better medical coverage! The deductible is way too HIGH! Please have every employee in Princeton dress like professionals.

    I worked at Aetna

    Pros

Higher than average wage, lots of overtime, steady m-f schedule , great co workers

    Cons

Unknowledgeable Supervisors/Managers, too many tasks to complete during shift. Too much stress and not enough training on how to handle issues. Rare chances to post out of position due to shortage of employees on phones. Worst of all so much favortism , most coworkers would like to leave dept but hourly wage keeps most of them stuck there . Very low morale.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Management needs to listen to the majority of people that work for them, not just the minority that will agree to any changes being made. Most management changes are making people miserable and ready to walk for any decent paying opportunity.

    I worked at Aetna

    Pros

Chance for telecommuting. Some tuition reimbursement. Mother's room.

    Cons

Team leads talked behind subordinates' backs. Constant changes with poor communication to employees. Health benefits sucked!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

If you want to retain and obtain good employees, rethink about the qualifications of your managers and leaders.
