Aetna – “Aetna- good pay but be wary”
Pros
Great schedule, nice compensation with benefits, with nice workarea. Work associates very nice and made the work day better. Nice breakroom with many microwaves and vending machines. Safety on the fore-front with doors to offices and the garages only accessible with badges.
Cons
Higher-up management does not at all give feedback to staff workers about work done, as they have to approve all work done that is outside protocol. They must approve or disapprove all work and return it to the employee so that proper paperwork can be filed, and they do not care about how soon they return it with an answer, even though it is imperative that we give it to them on time and thoroughly filled out. All computer technology is ancient and outdated. Working with other departments in Aetna is almost prohibited, and it would be great to share knowledge.
Advice to Senior Management
Create an actual training program instead of the new employee furiously taking notes. Please have some kind of systme set up or hire another physician for when the main physician has meetings or must go out of town. We are on deadlines too with our clients and patients, and truly cannot wait 1 week or 2 weeks until you get back from vacation to get all of our work done.
