Aetna – “Just one person's view”
Pros
The people who work at Aetna are extremely dedicated and are truly concerned about delivering quality and useful products to their customers. I believe the people who work at Aetna are the most valuable asset of the company. I also think that the company's embrace and promotion of the teleworking culture has been really well received by the employees and has allowed them to retain some great talent.
Cons
The recent turn to the use of outside vendors has reduced the overall business knowledge in the IT domain, which in my opinion has increased the cost of delivering quality systems.
Advice to Senior Management
I would suggest reducing the number of outsourced resouces and hire quality fulltime inhouse resources.
