I have been working at Aetna full-time for more than 5 years

Pros

Uhmmm.... well the cafeteria is nice.

Cons

No work life balance. Constant layoffs and no job security. Lots of offshoring. Horrible managers that are totally incompetent. Most jobs are high stress and most employees are overworked. The culture is terrible and moral is even worse. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere for a job

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Do you think making employees pay for parking is a fair policy? If your looking for ways to cut costs, start looking at executive and manager salaries.

I worked at Aetna full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

Work at home possibilities are there for a lot of the positions

    Cons

    Medical insurance.
Unknown Future -- bought a company (Coventry) for $5.0 B + $2.5B in debts = $7.5B. They are laying off 3,000 employees in the next 3 years. Outsourced IT oversees.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Listen to the lower supervisors and staff. Usually it is the mid to upper management that need to be fixed.
