I worked at Aetna full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    None come immediately to mind.

    Cons

The company pays salary based on 8 hours a day. They continually inspect your availability due to lack of trust. They knowingly short-staff the nurses so the job can't be done in 8 hours. I routinely work 14 hours a day... somethimes 16 just to keep up with the workload. They don't pay for the overcommitment nor do they recongize the need for more staff to balance the workload. It's not an environment of respect for the individual's doing the work.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Treat your nurses with the same respect you demand for yourself.

I have been working at Aetna full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Salary, Work at Home capability, Good Dedicated People. SDLC Process

    Cons

Job Security - requent layoffs, Constant OT expected, Partial Take-up of Agile Methodology not allowing for success, Lack of Support from Immediate Management when needed, Benefits

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

During job eliminations, try to find transfers vs elimination for your dedicated, high performing resouces.
