I have been working at Aetna full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Great pay, Great location, close to my house and 8 - 5 hours, no weekends which is great for having a great work life balance. Great training program

    Cons

Very stressful call center environment. Things can change daily. 17-19 week training, very long and a lot of information to learn in that time period.

I worked at Aetna full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

All around very professional. Excellent employees who share their time and talent. Great medical, dental, vision, etc. benefit package. Aetna really is the best in the business.

    Cons

Outsourcing of jobs which leads to layoffs.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Senior and Middle management need to look at the talent pool within all departments before eliminating positions. There are a lot of talented employees who can contribute so much more if only given the opportunity.
