Pros

4 weeks vacation after 10 years service. Good manager. Good people to work with. A team atmosphere. Still working with a "Can do attitude". Training is available. Health benefits.

Cons

No raise in 5 years. Constantly dealing with changes that cause clients to lose productivity. No knowledge transition. Poor documentation. Constantly reinventing the wheel. Lack of automation due to old software and obsolete equipment due to Wallstreet expectations. We lose more money than we saved when equipment breaks down.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

In order to be here in 10 years the accountants can't run the place with Wallstreet in mind. If you lose the techs that know the ins and outs of the datacenters and clients you will not be able to support the clients. The unseasoned off shore personnel can't compare to the talent that has been chopped from this organization. If the offshore personnel are good they move on to management or another company. Your personnel are valuable - quit treating them like just another number. We are the future of Xerox - look at the quarterly net profit - it is the same as ACS's quarterly profit before the merger less some from the Xerox drag on earnings from equipment sales.

    Pros

    You hit the ground running and have to learn on your feet. Some times that's what works best.

    Cons

    Temporary hire so I was not there long enough to grab the full "employee told" story of working there. Rushed out the door with a "thank you and have a nice day".

    There are still businesses in Corporate America without a clue on being human to employees.

    Pros

    Exposure to many different roles as the result of shifting job responsibilities. Access to computer-based training on your own time.

    Cons

    Management staff continually being replaced as a result of customer complaints coupled with constantly shifting job responsibilities, constant reorganization and a slow yet constant trickle of lay-offs left everyone on edge as folks had no sense of certainty in continued employment.

    Staff adequately to meet the needs of one of your largest and most demanding clients.
