I worked at Affinity Gaming full-time (Less than a year)

Pros

Friendly co-workers, food discounts, meet interesting people. The fun of giving away the companies money to winners (and getting tipped as a result)

Cons

bad hours, even if you move up the hours still stink, very smokey environment, taking people's money was not always fun, seeing people spend money that you know they needed for other things was challenging at times

    Pros

Its a job that will keep you busy moving around and the time goes by pretty quick and you will get your exercise in walking

    Cons

Low pay ($10) and a revolving door of people coming and going and the people that are working there are "Bottom of the Barrel that cant get jobs anywhere else because they are grossly overweight or have tatoos all over their face and neck. Also this is a small off strip "B-Level" casino and the smoke level gets really bad and you go home smelling like cigarette smoke and the EDR food is an abomination. Worst food out of any Casino I have ever worked for. Avoid this place like the plague it is.

    Advice to Management

If you care so much about your employees, then pay them a decent living wage instead of running the revolving door operation of people coming and finding better employment. And Leave the employees alone and cut the crap wasting every ones time with the stupid group cheerleading meeting crap, nobody cares about it, they just want to do their shift, go home and look for better employment.

  2. better pay

I have been working at Affinity Gaming

    Pros

very helpful staff in learning table games policy's and procedures

    Cons

travel is long and tiring with the way the bus schedule is designed and employees either have to come to work 2 hours before start time or end up late with using the primm bus service

    Advice to Management

better pay or more incentive or more hours to compensate for the travel which results in lost pay buses out to primm should be free for table games employees
