Current Employee - Insurance Agent in Los Angeles, CA

I have been working at Aflac full-time for more than a year

Pros

Decent training, no sales quotas but if you don't sell you make no money.

Cons

Not great structure for success. Maybe that's just sales but you're just kind of thrown to the wolves to fend for yourself. 100% commissions so obviously tougher to make ut but it is doable.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

It would be great if there was a clear cut structure that transitions agents more effectively from the training process to the actual sales process. This would allow newer agents to feel more empowered about doing their job on their own with confidence. Confidence that you can complete a sales process is everything in sales.

I worked at Aflac full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Although difficult, Aflac provides employees with good experience in sales. They have great people teaching the training class, who are excellent at motivating new sales agents. Aflac will give people valuable experience at telemarketing and canvassing businesses. Hence, Aflac will help people to develop their interpersonal communication skills.

    Cons

It's difficult, there is no doubt about that. While working for Aflac, people learn how to deal with rejection, which is good because rejection is an unavoidable part of life. If people can do good selling Aflac, they can do good at anything in the sales industry - which is huge, because there will always be a high-paying job for a good salesman.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Thankyou for having the bill waived for the undeserved miscellaneous charges. It is greatly appreciated.
