Current Employee - Insurance Sales Agent
Current Employee - Insurance Sales Agent

I have been working at Aflac as a contractor (less than an year)

Pros

Money is excellent when clients are gained (it usually takes 3+ attempts to gain a possible enrollment setting). Commission is paid as well as residuals on paid, current accounts.

Cons

Cold calling on businesses, especially the people you know. There is no salary, only commission, training is not paid, however a cold lunch was provided during training as well as lodging.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Instead of long days in a room training, training should be out on the field. Would also be nice to have appointments preset instead of walking into a business unannounced, can get awkward.

I have been working at Aflac full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

Good product and fun training though grueling hours and commute

    Cons

Pay for license, pay for class to get it, pay for parking at \
} training, pay for gas, pay for binders and other office supplies, then pay for mote gas. Now work for 3 months and do not make a dime in return. Now work some more and then they ask you to PAY to come into the office!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Give people a draw or expenses or something. That way 98% of people won't quit
