Pros
Opportunity, diversity of jobs and career paths, pay and benefits. Great place to begin a career and learn about your filed of interest and gain experience.
Cons
Poor communication, organization and lack of follow through. Everyone has their own agenda making it difficult for departments to work together as a team. Management often ignores problems by passing the buck or blame other departments rather than taking ownership to resolve a problem that will be mutually beneficial to each department and the company as a whole.
Advice to Senior Management
I often get the feeling that management has no idea how the day to day works. Hourly staff and middle management are asked questions about how to make our processes better, but feedback is continually ignored to the point where giving honest feedback feels like a wasted effort and even a read block to career advancement. Realistic expectations are not set with the client. The focus is only to get a client in the door, but there isn't a plan in place to provide quality service from day one.
