I have been working at Air Canada full-time (more than 5 years)

Pros

Travel benefits - if you're willing to get creative with flight plans and enjoy the possibility of getting stuck at airports when traveling standby

Cons

The company is stuck in a rut in terms of its problem solving approach and the lack of creativity and new blood creates a sense of group think in many departments so it's the same tired and cautious approach to everything every season. Salary is horrendous compared to similar jobs and skill levels in other industries.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Change the teams, shuffle people around, bring in new blood

I have been working at Air Canada full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

Travel around the world. Meet amazing people.

    Cons

Long days, sometimes waiting in airports between flights. Mechanical flights, bad weather and cancellations. Different time zones and different time at work, early morning sometimes or night shifts. Too many employees not enough good Leader on top that show the example and come on the front line to see our needs to implement better structure to assist the employee on the work at hand.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Be more proactive not retroactive
