I have been working at Air Liquide full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Global company, decent pay and benefits

    Cons

There is no leadership in the true sense, yes there are managers and directors, but leadership??? You will work for and with foreigners that have no idea how to lead, your peers will stab you in the back and management will never stand up for you. Management has the mindset that any subordinate is guilty until proven innocent, and your boss will not hear you out.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Is not standing up for your team a reflection of senior management?

I worked at Air Liquide as an intern for less than a year

    Pros

ALLEX program for new hires is very good if you have the opportunity/desire to enter it. Many good people at a variety of positions within the company, work culture was sometimes good. Intern pay was higher than I've seen elsewhere. I learned a lot working here. Intern seminar was boring, but a good opportunity to meet other interns and people in company.

    Cons

Many employees (engineers mostly), once officially hired full-time, seemed very overworked (clashed with image company used to recruit of work/life balance), though workload was fair as an intern. Rather difficult to discern what expectations are as an intern. Performance reviews were lacking, little feedback given until last day on the job. Management was hectic and a little disorganized. I personally did not seem to fit into company culture well, which detracted from the experience working there. That may not be fully be their fault; it may have just been a poor fit.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Give better feedback during internship. Give interns, at least at the start, a little more structure. Spice up the intern seminar a bit if possible, a plant tour or something similar would improve things. Keep ALLEX program going, while I did not enter it, it seems like a really good system to immerse new employees into the company.
