I worked at Alcoa as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great company to complete an internship with. Good people to work with. You will learn a lot in a short amount of time. Good pay and relocation assistance.

    Cons

Projects seemed limited, and it could get boring fairly quickly. Didn't seem like there was a whole lot of room to move up from within. Although the internship was great, working full-time there did not seem as appealing for these reasons.

I worked at Alcoa full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Floor employees were great, most managers were professional, friendly, and knowledgable. Good benefits, treat employees well, and lots of development training. Gained lots of practical experience.

    Cons

Low pay for salary employees or salaries are not equal, i.e. some employees doing the same job at another location may make more than another employee doing that same task in another plant location

    Advice to Management

Take in cost of living when setting salaries and pay equally for same jobs/task in similar cost of living areas.
