    I worked at Alexander Mann Solutions full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    The majority of the people work there are good at recruitment delivery, good basic salary at all levels, with bonus paid out. Global client base that continues to grow and stay retained for many years. Double digit growth for last few years. Work hard people that want to be in recruitment delivery. There are some really creative and forward thinking people, who could shape the future of our industry globally.

    Cons

    Lack of overall business direction or cohesion between teams / management. Everyone running their own areas as businesses, as NFI, SLAs and delivery of numbers is what drives this business primarily - no performance management or development of people, its who you know over skills or fit for role - blame culture from the top down - same people at the top since company started who only know what they know and are unable to change or adapt to the world outside them. Its all about operational process over innovation or engagement of talent. Fill vacancies over find great people for clients.

    This company could be amazing, but in essence they are just recruitment people. Talent Acquisition is about talent, engagement and seeking out great people internally and externally - but at AMS its about process, numbers SLAs, margin and operational delivery.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Business can only grow bigger with people that know what bigger is, and have been there already, non of your management team have. Shift the culture to talent not bums on seats, engage your people through senior management doing what they say they will, and tie in financial elements to this, change means some people wont like it, but without it you just stand still. Someone needs to take control and lead / manage the company not let the 'in' crew do what they want without serious repercussions.

    Pros

    Engagement with clients on-site, breadth of client portfolio, target driven environment, support functions especially advertising/social media, grad and analytics team

    Cons

    More back stabbing than you could believe in HQ if you are not prepared to play the political game preventing you from progressing regardless of successes and merits. Some of the senior management is weak and flaky to say the least. Some of the targets drive you in a more sales driven manner which is not well received within the world of RPO from a client point of view

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Shake up the senior team and bring in fresh blood that has a closer understanding of what clients want today. Build expertise in support functions. Leverage expertise far more across the client portfolio to greater client advantage
