I have been working at Allergan

Pros

Mid-size company so you have a lot of opportunities to work on projects and be recognized. And hopefully you have a chance to grow with the company.

Cons

Benefit package not as competitive. Product portfolio is small. Limited budgets for certain projects. Limited travel funds for business travel.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Streamline administrative processes so that employees can spend more time working on projects. Need more job advancement opportunities for employees.

I have been working at Allergan

    Pros

The benefits are comparable to other companies of the same size.
The pay is low, but Allergan is a good starting point into the pharma industry. A great place to learn and move on.
The company seems financially stable and conservative.

    Cons

Nepotism within some of the facilities is rampant.
Don't expect to work your way to a promotion.
Little to no recognition is given for a job well done.
"Bonuses" are very small compared to other companies of similar size unless you are at a directors level or above.
    No flextime is offered.
Use of sick time is forbidden.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Offer more competitive pay and bonuses.
Better recognition opportunities to the hourly employees would help retain talent.
Stop allowing relatives to work within the same facility.
Promote more from within the company.
