I have been working at Allied Electronics

Pros

the executive management team works well with managers all the way down to warehouse workers. It is a team environment, but favoritism is prevelant. The people here are very laid back and are more than willing to help you if you have questions

Cons

Pay is not nearly worth what employees have to put into the company in order to be successful. Favoritism plays a part with promotions. Some managers do not even have college degrees.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep it up with the teamwork environment. Communication could always be better, but overall, just make sure that the right people are in the right places and dont just consider Tenure when promoting. Consider who will do the best job.

I worked at Allied Electronics full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

    -Excellent Product offering
    -Decent Vendor support
    -Straightforward Working hours

    Cons

-Small branch offices means lots of favoritism
-No discernible leadership from regional managers with regards to oversight of Branch Managers
-No metrics for measuring 'good' sales people from simple order takers.
-No path for advancement of any kind - Small branch offices mean that once you have a job, that's the job you'll be doing for your entire tenure, unless someone quits or is fired.
    -Extremely tedious work at times
-No working from home even though Allied branch offices are not stocking locations, and all systems are available over the net.
