Pros

Huge company with many different accounts Good opportunities for advancement (if you work hard) AlliedBarton Edge is a training program that has a wide variety of online courses that can be completed for credit. Wide variety of "work-perks" with client companies

Cons

Low pay Not flexible with time off requests Poor leadership ability It is easy to be overlooked Managers don't have knowledge of daily post activities

Advice to Management

Get out in the field and see what and how your officers are doing. Lead from the front, set the example. Bill says "Dare to be G-R-E-A-T" but nobody is actually DOING it.

    Cons

Looked over, unfair, not treated as a person

    Advice to Management

There should be meetings held to see how employees feel about the site that they're placed at and how their relationship is with their account manager

  2. Helpful (1)

Micromanagement at its best and lack of leadership

    Pros

*Easy work for the low average pay *Friendships built with coworkers *Location of work * I can't think of any other pros

    Cons

*Pay compared to other security companies is like working minimum wage *Low chances of advancement *Too many responsibilities for the pay *Extremely difficult to take a day off (even after a 2 month notice!) *Health insurance is not even health insurance its a supplement to help pay medical bills (co pay is $75) *Micromanagement at its best, every week coming back to work there are new policies to follow or not follow making it impossible to know whats allowed or what to do then the employee gets in trouble for not following policy *Favoritism *16 hour long work days! if your relieve called off and they can't find someone to cover that shift. Then if you try to say you can't work it YOU get in trouble. (Driving home after a 16 hour work day then having to come back in 8 hours is a health hazard and a driving hazard!!!) *No union because of some political crap and the way security officers are employed *Some customers look at you in a demeaning way *Life to work balance is unrealistic at some locations (at least where I was)

    Advice to Management

LISTEN TO YOUR EMPLOYEES! LONG HOUR WORK DAYS ARE NOT HEALTHY! and pretty much fix every thing in the "Cons" section
