    Pros

Great opportunity to work with diverse people in different settings. The network is there for success.

    Cons

The Boston area is weak. Poor and absent senior leadership that is limited in it's knowledge in what their customer wants. Sarcastic and pedantic district manager.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get back to being customer focused. Give up the Top 125 malarkey, your customer base needs specific training for their operations. The MSO process often chews up time and does not grow your staff.

A joke, like any other Security Company.

I worked at AlliedBarton full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

Slow paced work depending on your post. Simple job.

    Cons

This is like any other security company. Lack of or inconsistent post orders & training. Far away post. Exploitation of officers by companies that require multiple responsibilities & chores that have nothing to do with our job or pay like cleaning the post, fixing or inspecting electrical appliances , etc. The general inherent risk of the job that exposes you to danger. I literally had a district manager tell me in 50F weather that I could not have my own sweater & that it should have been my responsibility to have asked for one even though I had no idea they even had them & weren't provided for me. I shouldn't have to ask... crazy. I ended up quitting this job quickly their after.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Make sure every post has post orders so all officers are on the same page & so we can deliver consistant & reliable service. That way we can create a true brand of company so when people see us work they know "oh, that's allied barton". If the client wants to add rules make sure you review these rules before putting them into action.
