This company is the poster child as to why this industry is doing so poorly

    Pros

Work from home, Decent benifits, decent pay

    Cons

Where do I start...........Well although I am pretty sure this is a trend throughout the new corporate America it is certainly a way of life at Allscripts. This company cares nothing for its employees and customers. It seems to have fallen into a perpetual "Let's lay off Americans, replace them with people from India so we can improve our bottom line" company. They bring in new CEO’s (Guys that are known for making a corporation attractive to potential venture capitalist, think Bain) so they can keep selling and raking in huge multi-million dollar bonuses for the top people while the hard working employees and customers get screwed. The scary part is these big health care corporations are supposed to be making things better for doctors and their patients. Unfortunately the name of the game in today’s corporate world is 100% greed. Gone are the days of corporate board members putting 110% of their efforts into building and growing a company that will provide a great working environment for their employees’, as well as, great products for their customers. Allscripts is just a big ATM for the top senior level management. They take until there is nothing left to take and then sell the carcass to the next guy that can figure out a way to squeeze more money out until there is nothing left but to close the doors.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop telling your employees that you are keeping a balance of American and outsourced workers when it is clear with every 300+ Americans you lay off, they are replaced with Indian workers. Start working to grow a solid company where people feel they have a future and some job security. You are losing huge chunks of the market share due to poor support, development and over all products (Out sourcing??) and too much emphasis on profits and bonuses for top level management. This is health care guys, you are playing with people’s lives here and that should be your number one concern. Not how much money you can make when you sell to the next investment group. Your customers are pissed off, leaving and our telling anyone that will listen how poorly you have managed this company. You have the ability to do great things in this new and changing health care world. Pull your heads out, take stock of your lives (Do you really need another summer home or yacht) and do the right thing. Take care of Americans, be the corporation that really helps rebuild this poor US economy.......Be different and lead the way instead of just following all the other greedy heartless bastards out there.

Superiority, Arrogant & Egotistical Culture At Regional Director Level

    Pros

No pros are inherent in a culture of superiority and brilliance. A Corporate Class System that is the culture, philosophy and is the accepted shadow Organizational Model.

    Cons

The culture and philosophy is ripe for micro-management, gas lighting, invalidation and minimization of existing employees or new hires that are not in the In-Group or does not personally know a key Executive in this In-Group.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Flush out the egotists, the arrogant, the brilliance Executives/Directors that add no value to the organization or its clients. This would lower the FTE attrition rate immensely.
