Current Employee - Exclusive Financial Specialist in Sunnyvale, CA

Pros

A good environment if you connect with the right people. The trips and incentives are great but it is a full commission based job. Their technology is finally catching up and supports the field well.

Cons

The management will work hard to help you succeed for the first year and then they will try and replace you. The best thing you can do is build strong relationships and be successful selling. Don't expect any help after they get paid for your one year start up.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

I think it would be wise to create an environment that supports your long term growth. It's easy to create quick sales but the difficult thing is creating a system that creates consistent sales, I wish that I saw more support for long term processes.

    Pros

Working in a small agency has perks of schedule flexibility. Develop relationships with customers in the community.

    Cons

Working for an agent and not Allstate directly. Most don't offer benefits and pay is not great. Since its an agency, the agency owner is the "boss" and not technically Allstate so there are no perks by Allstate. Not always bad because there are some great agnecy owners that have benefits and perks of their own.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Rules and guidelines of product can be limiting for sales.

-SLOW STARTUP, It took me about 2 weeks to get access to everything needed to do my work. I never received my personal computer to work after hours, which was requested in February.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

-Have a weekend at the ballpark with all the interns instead of a Q&A session.
    -Provide food at large events
