I worked at Allstate full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

None. It was a very low paying job, the employees in the claims department seemed like glum, disgruntled robots. The management was incredibly bad. There were four people in each cubicle so you got to touch elbows with others in your cubicle, and were forced to hear their endless pathetic complaining all day, every day...Plus they had a "posture lady" whose job it was to walk around and complain and rant about anyone she perceived had bad posture! Unbelievable, but true!!!

    Cons

Poorly trained, inflexible ,not so bright, psychotic management. My manager was an expert in gaslighting, and has lawsuits pending against her regarding her abhorrent behavior.

    Advice to Management

Get rid of the current off-putting managers and hire new managers from outside the company who are knowledgeable, accountable , and actually enjoy working with people, instead of torturing and belittling them.

    Pros

They spend a lot of time and money on training employees.

    Cons

Once training is over you are on your own. Lack of advancement opportunity.
