Even though this is mostly based with the Agent,, Licensed sale staff need higher base salary with benefits.

Not a family orientated company. Too many politics.

Be careful before you agree to abandon your financial business to be an EFS for Allstate

Former Employee - Exclusive Financial Specialist (EFS) in Salt Lake City, UT

I worked at Allstate full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

The financial services model ONLY works when the financial guy (EFS) is teamed with agencies that will actually produce the numbers of referrals you need to make production goals. Only the big agencies make it worth while--but there are not enough to go around. Be sure the group that will be assigned to you have a credible financial production history!

    Cons

Problem is, the large producing agencies are already paired with with existing (fat cat) EFSs. The new guys will only get the poor performing, struggling agencies that nobody wants to work with. The guy trying to hire you gets a bonus for hiring more and more. Allstate motivates local managers to hire more than they can actually support with adequate referrals.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be fair and honest. Only hire a new EFS when they can be paired with a group of agencies with a history of adequate financial production that can make minimum goals. Spread the wealth (producing agencies) fairly among area EFSs.
