Former Employee - Loan and Loss Mitigation Representative III in Lewisville, TX

I worked at Ally Financial full-time (more than 5 years)

Pros

match 401k, medical, dental and vision good.. life insurance good. Most people hard working and friendly.

Cons

low pay, bonus plan greatly reduced for hourly employees. Change is constant and gives appearance of company instability and weak management. Much favortism and managers do not follow the same policies. They bend the rules constantly. You will be reprimanded for stating your opinion if it does not agree with management. Moral is in a constant flux. Management really does not care about their employees although they try look interested. They do not value employee loyalty and hard work..

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Treat your employees well and pay them fairly. 30k for a collector is a lousy base salary..Need to review the management staff and clean house of those that are not the culture you are trying to promote.

    Pros

This is a fast paced environment with a lot of smart A-players on staff. Pay is on the high side of average due to the high-risk scenario this company is in.

    Cons

The culture is less than ideal with very little focus on respect, collaboration or teamwork. The leaders are too busy solving critical economic challenges to spend any time on building engagement or fostering a positive collaborative work ethic. Politics are favored over hard work and a good attitude.
