I have been working at Ally Financial full-time (more than 3 years)

Pros

Benefits ,team membersT,raining Modules,Peer learning,40lk

Cons

There is a high level of favoritism amongst management in regards to who gets promoted or not. Some of them need to retire.

Uncertainty around company's direction over the next 1-2 years considering the amount of money owed to the Government. Always rumors about being sold to Wells Fargo/ broken up and sold, constant changes/IPO etc.

Morale is low

Lack personality/social skills/training people

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Need to revamp/restructure and make sure they are choosing the right people for a Supervisor or Management position. Employees make excuses why they leave a company. Quote: “People leave managers not the company or organization.” This is so true here at Ally. I took this job and stayed in it happily for many years, in large part because of my relationship with my boss. I could have left a long time ago but I know other co-workers that do not have a good relationship with their manager.
