I worked at Alorica full-time (more than an year)

Pros

The pay is $10/h nice if you don't have kids or any responsibilities (bills). The employees all seem to be cool. Tv in both break rooms. Easy to advance but not worth the pay.

Cons

Management is unreliable. Pay needs to be increased for the amount of work you have to do. More shift flexibility would be nice.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Ask employees for their opinions on how to make policies better for the members. Also, empathize with the employees a little more. Sometimes the TMS are a little robotic from all the pressure corporate pushes down on them.

I have been working at Alorica full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

The benefits are decent. There job is not very demanding once you get the hang of things. You basically just sit in a chair and talk to people all day. It's also a very stable income. Guaranteed 40 hours per week. It's also pretty easy to get hired there.

    Cons

Training is pretty intense. The information systems that are used are massive so there's a lot to learn at first. After the 5 week training/certification process it takes another 1-2 months to get a grip on things. Many customers calling with very unique problems.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

No more pay cuts. The Alorica call center that I work at has consistently out performed other centers yet, new employees are being paid less and are expected to uphold the same standards and do the same job.

    Pros

Can't think of any pros for this employer.

    Cons

The company has made acquisitions of other companies with no transition plan. It's difficult to know how/where you fit in and the importance of your role to the company's success. Benefis are very expensive, management is uncaring with an "it's my way or the highway" attitude. There are no incentives and communication is poor. Rewards are not given to the employees who really contribute and unqualified employees are promoted based on favoritism or relationships prior to joining the company. Senior leadership is totally disengaged from workforce.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

If you are going to conduct an employee survey, you should be prepared to act on the information provided. Eliminate some of the bullys in management and remember that your bread and butter comes from your low paid customer facing employees.
