I worked at Alt Software full-time for more than 3 years

Pros

Interesting work. Good experience for people looking to start a career in embedded software development.
Young staff.
Prime downtown office location.

Cons

Contract work makes for a large variation in work loads.
Scope creep on past projects resulted in poorly compensated overtime.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

If you aren't going to develop a product, stick to contract employees. Get back into the Waterloo Coop program. Some of the best past employees came from there.
