Pros – Broad range of responsibilties provide great learning experiences
In most cases, very competent and hard-working employees
Offers chance to work and manage a global workforce

Cons – Middle management team is severly understaffed
Micro-management reduces opportunities for innovation and decreases speed-to-market
Lack of loyalty by senior management to the leadership team
Senior management prefers leading with a "stick" rather than a "carrot"
All employees variable compensation rarely hits targets

Advice to Senior Management – Survey your culture and morale. Reach out to employees. Enable and support programs to enhance internal communications to employees. Evaluate how much you value your employees to reduce churn and preserve organizational memory.
