Former Employee – worked at Altria full-time

Pros – Somewhat relaxed work environment. Generous vacation and holiday policies.

Cons – The company only sees future leadership potential in the engineeers. There are multiple programs for entry level engineers through senior level. Almost every divisional leader currently in position has been drafted from the engineering ranks. Any other discipline is seen as just support functions.
Smoking is allowed everywhere!

Advice to Senior Management – too many layers. The work is slow and employees of newly acquired companies feel left out of the loop!
