Advice to ManagementAdvice

Managers should have one to one to understand the potential of every employees (roles and responsibilities to be clear). Proper training should be given to new hires which is missing.

    I worked at Amazon.com

    Pros

Great company mission with fantastic growth for several years to come. There are some highly talented people who work here, and a fanatic commitment to the customer and continuous improvement. The total compensation package with salary, signing bonuses and stock is hard to beat. Survivors can move up quickly.

    Cons

The signing bonuses are meant to trap you into staying for the first two years if you decide it is not right for you. Managers work long, hard hours making work/life balance very difficult. Senior management practices confrontational and public feedback versus constructive feedback. Not for the weak or timid and you must drink the koolaide to survive. High manager turnover and I saw many talented people leave before I chose too.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Start running the organization like the professional outfit and not like a sweat shop. Treat people with respect and recognize achievements.
