I have been working at Amazon.com as an intern (less than an year)

Pros

1) No day is the same.
2) 3 day weekends
3) Easy to get promoted if you are a good leader
4) Get to work with a lot of smart people
5) You can move around within the company
6) It is easy to change processes, if you can back up your project with data
7) Your job has a direct impact on the customers and always moving

Cons

1) Upper management will occasionally be too busy to help with certain problems that occurs during the day
2) Long work hours - especially during peak

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Try to develop management and leadership below your position every day (Even if that means a brief 5 min meeting). Set goals and expectations.

    Pros

    -Brand Name
    -If lucky then you can get to work with some smart people
    - Innovating new stuff

    Cons

    Where to start?
    - Overworked
    - Not compensated well according the effort and hours
    - Weekends are not fun anymore
    -Manger doesnt care how you feel

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Managers need to care for their team members and should try to motivate them rather than micro-managing to an extent of eating habits. Cmon!! Some of the managers here are just due to the experience with no quality education or good skills. where is your HIRE RIGHT ?
