“Difficult at times but ultimately worthwhile.”

Pros – Great emphasis on public service and giving back, easy to see tangible results for your hard work, learn excellent communication skills as well team skills, you get to travel and gain a significant number of new skills.
Cons – I was in the NCCC side of Americorps which requires you to live and work with the same team of ten people for ten months which can be very difficult at times- privacy is a luxury, not a given. Not as much support as I thought there would be.
Advice to Senior Management – Get to know us!
