a very unique experience

Proscertain programs, like NCCC provide you with a modest stipend, as well as room and board, and a food allowance. its a wonderful place to meet friends, potiential employers, give back to the community and simply live outside the box.
Its a very safe program to work with.

ConsThe room and board can vary greatly depending on your project, and the food allowance MUST be shared among you and your team.
The rules imposed all have a purpose, but can be stifling after a while. At times it felt like being at summer camp.

Advice to Senior ManagementIt would be easier on the volunteers if a little more respect was given to them as adults.

Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

I have been working at AmeriCorps

Pros: great way to meet interesting people. amazing opportunities to see the other side of America and work to improve it. people usually go… Cons: very small stipend. difficult communication with larger organization for stipend/education award issues. look into your assignment as much as you can before committing,… Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend More
