    Pros

    Competitive pay for the industry.

    Cons

    Little employee training, no developement of management skills. Company is always changing marketing and growth stratagies. Poor planning for long term success. Inexperienced market manager with no decision making power. Decision making has been eliminated on market level and is now extremely top down operated. Field service personnel are not supported with the product they need to make complete deliveries. Price guarentees to customers are not honerd.

    Advice to Management

    Better training for all upper level managers. Quit worrying about next months P&L and put together a long term plan for slow profitable growth.

    Pros

    Decent wages and benefits. ability to advance in career. privately owned. run your route as your own business. very customer focused.

    Cons

    the industry itself has created its own issues .accounts are constantly underbid to the point of it seems that we pay the customer to have our service. This is not exclusive to AmeriPride. I believe in fair competition for business, but Cintas came and low balled its competitors to steal (build) their business. This created the need for the rest of us to follow. Bottom line is people pay less for service now than 10 years ago. This can't last.

    Advice to Management

    Have some balls and bring the true cost out front to your customers rather than having your csr folks trying to explain. Why don't we charge what should be charged and let the chips fall. Cintas relies on growth at any cost for stockholders. You can provide superior product and service, but it will cost.
