I worked at American Academy of Family Physicians

Pros – The members, Family Physicians, are generally nice and easy to work with. There are a lot of nice perks, i.e. week off between Christmas and New Years, snow days. and onsite work out facility including locker room and showers.

Cons – Senior management continues to look for the answer in the "management fad" of the year; there have been several "re-organizations" over the last several years, yet there is not a clear direction of where the organization is headed. As a non-profit, technology tends to be a lower priority, although the situation has improved in the last few years.

Advice to Senior Management – True transparency will be critical for staff to contribute effectively
